Our Romany Caravan has really come into it’s own this year. The climbing roses and all the other flowers are more established and the scent in the garden is heavenly now that the sun is out.
I’ve just been refilling the log burner for this weekend’s visitors.
They’re planning to have a barbecue this evening and sit outside watching the cattle bask in the sunshine and the sun set. No sign of it getting cooler at the moment but if it does then the log burner will just lend that bit of cheer for the evening.
It’s almost been worth having the rain to see everything so green and lush.
The wild flowers are particularly lovely, attracting butterflies and creating a wonderful country meadow effect.
I’m quite jealous really – if we didn’t have visitors tonight I think I’d be bedding down in the Romany Caravan myself. Glass of chilled white and a good
book ….
Or perhaps a little romance.
