For family fun the Dick Whittington Farm Park is the place to visit. Rain or sunshine, there is plenty to do and see.
A huge indoor Play Barn is ideal for toddlers to ten year olds. See the farm animals, zoo corner, small pets, reptiles, insects and fish, then feed the deer. Enjoy our Valley Nature Trails in bloom in the Spring.
The outdoor pedal kart course is very popular. Try our mini-digger, Summer tractor and trailer rides. You can step back in time and visit the medieval Dick Whittington exhibition room.
Finally, the ‘Cat’s Whiskers’ restaurant offers a range of food and drinks for adults and children.
Group visits and birthday parties are a speciality. We can give evening talks with a buffet on the Farm Park, environmental works or medieval history.

The Butts Farm is a family run Rare Breeds farm. Join in all the activities and have real hands-on-experience.
You can watch chicks hatching, cuddle the bunnies, feed the Zurich Flying Pigs, give lambs and goat kids their bottles.
Our very popular Pony Rides are on Thursday and Sunday at 2pm.
Home to the Sunrising Stud of Welsh Mountain Ponies, see their beautiful foals in the summer.

Dean Forest Railway
The Dean Forest Railway is a 4.25 mile (6.8 km) long heritage railway that runs between Lydney and Parkend in the Forest of Dean.
Trains are operated by both steam and heritage diesel locomotives, including heritage diesel multiple units.

National Birds Of Prey Centre
The Centre is open to the general public for 10 months of the year. Education is ongoing to all visitors. The Centre also undertakes more in depth education to specific groups and parties, from first schools to universities and offers off-site lectures and teaching.

The Historic city of Gloucester was founded in AD 48 by the Romans. It Lies close to the Welsh Border and lies on the eastern bank of the River Severn.
The city has one of the largest populations in the UK of around of 123,205.
Gloucester docks are an industrial port but now also show off many expensive yachts and boats.
The docks have been renovated and house The Water Works Museum this is an exciting and interesting place to visit whilst on your stay in the area.
Gloucester Quays Designer Outlet is a stunning new outlet centre with many top brand names to buy from.
The stunning Gloucester Cathedral is located in the north of the city close to the river.
It is the burial place of King Edward II of England and Walter de Lacy.
The Cathedral was used for scenes in the films Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.
Surrounding areas include Cheltenham know for is famous racecourse and The Forest of Dene. The Forest of Dene is characterised by over 110 square kilometres (42.5 sq mi) of mixed woodland, one of the surviving ancient woodlands in England. A large area was reserved for royal hunting before 1066, and remained as the second largest Crown forest in England, the largest being New Forest.
