Lap-tapping guitarist Tony Haven whose home is Gwithian, near Hayle, has been on tour from the Isle of Wight to the Scottish borders, the 22-year-old is now embarking on some Cornish dates. He will be showcasing the unusual acoustic technique he has adopted and honed over the past year.

Tony has performed in more than 70 cities across the UK while promoting the release of two EPs and a DVD.

Tony's lap-tapping technique can involve two tunings in one song or even playing two guitars at the same time.

The Relentless Boardmasters is Europe's ultimate action sport and music festival, held over 5 days in Newquay the UK's original surf town.

The festival is set across two locations. Fistral Beach hosts the sports competitions, retail village and crowd favourite bikini competition, while Watergate Bay entertains the masses with 3 music stages filled with the latest and greatest musicians from around the globe.

SKATE:
While surfing is the roots of the Relentless Boardmasters it is certainly not the only sporting highlight. Vert skating has been a part of the festival for over 10 years and cements RBM as Europes leading event of its kind.

2009 Vans Summer session hosted the highest profile event to date with US heavy hitters Alex Perelson and Neal Hendrix making the trip across the pond to take part. While these guys are superstars of the sport it was no easy ride thanks to the European contingent highlighted by UK shredders Sam Beckett and Sam Bosworth. They will all be back again this year and with the progression levels of the two Sam’s expect some serious upsets!

Celebrated artist Spencer Tunick will also create one of his world famous nude landscapes - far away from the main performing areas.

For 2010’s festival they have even more fields for you, meaning more campsites, car parks and better facilities too.

CAMPING
They have opened a new car park and made more camping space in their North fields, meaning an easier stroll from car park to campsite and, in response to visitors feedback from 2009's festival, they have returned the Family Campsite to it's old home, meaning families will be able to easily walk from the Family Car Park to their campsite. All you have to do is look at their map and select the car park closest to where you'd like to camp when you book - it's as simple as that. Car park tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis, so the earlier you book, the less distance you'll have to walk!

The twenty-third Festival will take place from Saturday 28 August to Friday 3 September 2010 - use the links at top right to find out who's playing when, what the ticket options are, and what accommodation is available.
There are fourteen different indoor venues, most within easy walking distance of each other: all are linked by continuous bus services, free of charge to Festival ticket-holders. These venues include pubs, hotels, small halls and restaurants – comfortable and informal surroundings that help to create Bude Jazz Festival’s friendly and relaxed atmosphere. In addition to good listening facilities, there will be a dedicated dance marquee, offering swing, jive and New Orleans bands from 12.30 pm till 11 at night. There is also a late night jazz club featuring a jam session, courtesy of The Waterfront Centre, whom we are delighted to welcome back as a major venue at the Festival.

This show is open to the public during the weekend prior to the trade show. The annual Caravan Extravaganza gives enthusiasts from all over the UK their first opportunity to see the new season’s models. A massive accessory shop is set up within The Lawns Centre; there is a small funfair for children, hamburger and other food stalls, including ice-creams, and all sorts of other entertainments to make this a fun day out for the family.
